Using Prysm for Surface Hub
Prysm for Surface Hub helps you get more value from your Surface Hubs. The following sections show you some of the many benefits of using Prysm on your Surface Hubs.
With Surface Hub alone, your conference rooms that don't have Surface Hubs can't easily collaborate with your Surface Hub rooms. Because Prysm can be used on Surface Hubs as well as other displays and individual devices, Prysm connects your disconnected conference rooms. With Prysm for Surface Hub, people on other displays and devices in other rooms, in individual offices, and anywhere can meet and collaborate with your Surface Hub users. Prysm runs on most room displays and Windows 10 devices. Users on those displays and devices collaborate with your Surface Hub users in Prysm.
- On the Surface Hubs, install Prysm.
- On the Surface Hubs, start Prysm and access your project. Invite people to the meeting, presentation, or collaborative session.
- Everyone enters the Prysm project and has access to the full power of Prysm.
Instead of losing your files in Surface Hub's folders, you can put them on a Prysm workspace. Move the files into an appealing arrangement for presentations, meetings, or work sessions. They stay where you put them on Prysm's workspace, making them easy to find, and enabling you to easily pick up where you left off any time.

To quickly share from Surface Hub to users who aren't on Surface Hubs, or to get any of the other Prysm benefits, just copy and paste text or files from Surface Hub into Prysm. When you copy from the Surface Hub, Prysm recognizes the type of content you copied. Prysm pastes copied text onto the workspace as sticky notes, copied web addresses as web browsers, and copied files in their original formats.

With Surface Hub, you use Skype to share, which means that only one person at a time can share their screen. In a Prysm workspace on the Surface Hub and other devices, everyone simultaneously can share content, apps, and even their entire desktop. Plus, your content sticks around even when your meeting is over.
Your old Surface Hub whiteboards are stored as image files in the Surface Hubs folders. They're all named similarly and you can easily lose content in the cluttered folders.
