Creating a laser pointer for presentations
When you're giving a presentation in Prysm, and you want to be able to clearly point to an item on your workspace so that everyone in the presentation can see, you might wish you had an old-school laser pointer. Here's how to create a look-alike laser pointer that's even better!
Create a .png
- On your device, create a .png file that is simply a semi-transparent circle in the standard laser red or in your own favorite color. Or click here to download ours!
- Making the circle a specific size isn't critical. But 400px by 400px is a good size.
- Save the .png to your device in a location where you can grab it for the next step.
Upload the .png to your Prysm project
- In Prysm for Web or Desktop, drag and drop the .png file onto your project.
For more information, see Working with Project Files.
Resize the pointer
- If the pointer isn't visible on your workspace, click Files and click the pointer file to add it to the workspace.
- Make sure the pointer's side menu isn't visible, and then use your fingers or the mouse scroll wheel to make the pointer the size you want.
For more information, see Resizing.
Point with your pointer!
- On the workspace, click and drag your pointer around to point to items that you want everyone to see.
- You can leave your pointer on an item while you talk and do other things, and everyone will be reminded of which item you're discussing.
