File storage
For easy access to your files, you can connect Prysm to your web-based file storage accounts (Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Microsoft OneDrive for Business), as well as mapped and USB drives.
You set up the connection in Prysm for rooms. After you set up the connection, you also use Prysm for rooms to import files from your connected storage account into Prysm's Project Files storage and to export files from Prysm's Project Files list into your connected storage account. After you import a file into Project Files, project participants in Prysm for web, Prysm for desktop, and Prysm for iPhone see it in Project Files, also. Participants can view and annotate these Project Files.
Regardless of whether you connect your file storage account, you can always open a Prysm Co-browser and access a file in your account. Accessing your account and file through a Co-browser gives you access to your file storage account's built-in editors, which having the file imported into Prysm's Project Files does not give you.
By default, the ability to connect file storage accounts is turned off in Prysm Admin Portal. As the Prysm Org Admin, you can turn on the Admin Portal setting. Here are some important things to remember when you turn on a connection to a file storage account:
- Files from a file storage provider folder can't be shared among Prysm users (in other words, User B has no access to User A's files.)
- The maximum supported file size that you can import or export is 2 gigabytes.
