Licensing and prerequisites for Skype for Business

Note: Support for Skype for Business Integration does not imply that Prysm is providing or has included the underlying Skype for Business server side Client Access Licenses (CAL).

Skype for Business is an optional add-on that requires a purchase order before it can be enabled.

Support for Skype for Business within Prysm is an optional upgrade feature. Refer to the Sales/Purchase Order to determine which version of this feature has been requested by the customer to be integrated with Prysm, installed onto the Prysm Application Appliance, and enabled in the field. If it has not been installed/enabled prior to shipment/delivery, it can be installed/enabled by a properly trained and qualified field service technician with the appropriate system permissions. Once installed, enabling support for Skype for Business within Prysm is an easily applied settings change. See Installing Skype for Business 2016 or Installing Skype for Business 2015 with the Microsoft provided Lync 2013 - basic client (32-bit) below for installation requirement details depending on the requested version.

Note: Prysm does not support modern authentication with Skype for Business. If modern authentication is enabled for Skype for Business in your environment, Skype for Business will not work on Prysm-enabled displays. You must disable modern authentication in your Skype for Business setup to use Skype for Business with Prysm.
