Enabling Broadcast Zone

The Broadcasting feature is included in the basic Prysm for rooms functionality, but it needs to be enabled in order to function with Skype for Business.

The Broadcast Zone is required to broadcast content using video conferencing and Skype for Business.

  1. From the Deployments page, find the deployment that you want to modify and click Edit.
  2. From the Prysm Admin Portal Dashboard, select Deployments.
  3. From the Edit Deployment page, select Enhancements.
  4. From the dropdown menu, select Broadcasting.
  5. Locate Enable Broadcasting within Edit Broadcasting Settings page.
  6. Click the OFF button and it changes to ON.
  7. Save the changes.
  8. Broadcast Zone is now enabled.

Users are able to select an area on a Prysm-enabled display to broadcast video to participants as shared content using video conferencing or Skype for Business.

Note: Ensure that wiring is complete. An adaptor or cable from either DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort to HDMI (X40 is DP, X30 is Mini DP) must be connected to the destination. When using VC ONLY, the cable must be connected to a monitor, a Codec, or a Distribution Amplifier that can manage EDID. It will not work properly without that connection because the Nvidia card needs to see a destination.
